No. I am vegetarian and I would work at KFC if I had to pay bills and couldnt get another job. But it would depend on why you are vegetarian. I am vegetarian b/c I dont like meat. If you are vegetarian b/c of animial cruelty reasons then yes some people would find it strange you work at KFC. If it bothers you then try getting a job at a vegan resturant or health food store or supermarket.

i guess it depends on your reason for being a vegetarian in the first place.

if you are against animal slaughter for food, then yeah, you shouldn't be working somewhere that gets all of their buisness from what you think is wrong. you should stand up for yourself, and start by not representing them.

if you are a vegetarian for dietary reasons, or simply because you don't like meat, then that's different. it's okay to work at kfc if you don't have a problem with animal slaughter for food.

Way back in the dim times of my pre-history when I was in college I spent a few months as asst. manager of one of my uncles burger joints. I quit when a friend said "A vegetarian running a burger joint is like a nun running a whorehouse". I quit that day as his statement just made too much sense. I can tell you that within a month of quitting I got rid of the only acne I've ever had in my life and a general malaise that I attributed to school, work and parties vanished (I almost immediately started a new job at a furniture store).

In any event it's you're choice!

Not if you need the job.

Also, it would depend on your reasons for being a vegetarian. If you are non meat-eating you oppose killing animals, you need to search your own heart about how you feel about serving chickens.

However, I'll go back to my original statement - if you need a job, and you have one, then good for you! Everyone is not so lucky...

Nope. Even vegetarians need to make money. I can think of other less unscrupulous places to work, but if you are ok with it, then who are we to tell you it's wrong?

No. Why???? You could be working in a slaughterhouse. The term refers to your diet choices, not your employment choices.
Of course, working in a slaughterhouse might turn you into a vegetarian!
