One of Andy Warhol's original soup can paintings was Pepper Pot. Never had it but wondered if it was good. It's funny how we will eat and love something before until we find out what it's actually made of, and then for some reason our minds just can't get around the ingredients.

Yes, the secret ingredient is beef tripe. You can still buy Pepper Pot Soup online at the Campbell's store. You can also buy other hard to find soups like cream of shrimp. THIS LINK SHOWS YOU THE INGREDIENTS, STRAIGHT FROM CAMPBELL'S WEBSITE!

Grew up in California, but as a kid, tomatoe soup wth a little cream and saltine crackers was what I preferred.Umm ummm good! So I never heard of this Pepper pot soup, but if it did have tripe that's nothing. That is what is in' Menudo'. A mexican soup fixed with hominy in a red chili broth. Sprinkle a little dried oregano and diced onion mixed with lemon juice, now this will cure your hangover!

What was in it?! What?! What?!

Besides, I remember loving Campbell's tomato soup and grilled cheese.

It is tripe. I've heard it is still made, but difficult to find. It seems to be a regional thing, around the Philadelphia area...
