I have researched on it and I have every symptom and my doctor does not help me...i was wondering if any of you have or know someone who has this and can give me some usefull information because it is ruining my life, i can't control my emotions

Is there a medication for this or anything that i can go off of, please help...I am sick of my crying spells and being sick and hungry all of the time

How can I get ahold of myself, since my doctor wont tell me anything other then it is just stress and i need to go and see a counselor

I don't need a counselor because I don't have emotional issues, i am having issues with my body(blood sugar) and that is completly different, I am switching doctors, but until then please give me a second opinion

I have all the symptoms, I just need to know how to control it

Ok... normal blood sugar is 70-120...new regulations are changing it to 110; however, anything below 70 is considered "low"... if you are experiencing this often...then you need to change your diet. You need to eat more complex carbohydrates. Obviously your body is burning the food you eat at a fast rate, so it is important to increase the starch....also..add in a high protein accompaniment..such as.. peanut butter..or cheese. Also, the fat content will "hold" your blood sugar..without a sudden drop. STAY away from SIMPLE carbs....or high sugary foods... if you eat something with alot of sugar..your body will burn it faster..then your blood sugar will drop FASTER.

.... I am a type one diabetic..so....I have gone through MANY episodes of being low..and have had to make MANY adjustments...especially with my diet....

Also..if you are a heavy exerciser..just make sure you carry snacks with you...and....keep glucose tablets with you ..just incase you drop low at any time. Good Luck!

That's why you're allowed a second opinion. Get one, preferably from an endocrinologist. If your GP won't do this, then find another doctor, as this one absolutely does not have your best interests at heart. This doctor, in fact, is completely ignoring the Hippocratic Oath, which includes the phrase, "first do no harm".

Also, to be completely honest with you, hypoglycemic is another way of saying Type II diabetes. But is simply concentrates on one part of that cycle.

If necessary, go to a walk-in clinic or to an ER when you are at your worst.

In the meantime, though, go to a whole foods diet, using whole grains, fresh fruits and veggies and lean protein.

Use an over the counter blood sugar tester to verify it is low blood sugar (directions in the box) and change your eating habits from 3 big meals to 4-5 small ones.

Also, try to eat a variety of sugars in each meal- nuts and carbs break down slow, keep you from crashing, candy and some fruits spike you up fast, then drop you down.

AND talk to that new doctor. If you can give him a week of blood sugar readings, all the better.

If eating candy or some other sweet gives you momentary relief and then after a few hours you again get this problem, possibly you have the symptoms. There are different forms of hypoglycemia and the treatment varies slightly. Take a look at the following book/s:

Anita Flegg gives good suggestions to cope with this problem.
