Don't pay attention to Apache! This is a very serious problem however. Are you the one with the infection? Hopefully, whoever was told they have this is hospitalized and receiving serious IV antibiotics! They need to be closely monitored for the infection spreading! Good luck!

I'm guessing that you're talking about a graft to either
1) repair an aneurysm or
2) fix aorto-iliac peripheral vascular disease.
Graft infection is an uncommon, but not unknown complictaion.
Treatment, at the least, will involve antibiotics. However, the graft usually has to be surgically removed. Once the infection gets into the graft, the graft is usually history.
