Could be Bronchitis, asthma or sinus infection- sometimes needs a longer course of an antibiotic- has he had a chest x-ray- Try OTC Delsym for the cough. An albuterol inhaler may help open up his lungs to get it out. if he is not better in 24 hours- I would go back to the Dr's. Good luck.

First. Get a cool mist humidifier, and add a pint of hydrogen peroxide to the gallon tank. Run that at night as close to his bed as you can. DO NOT MESS WITH LUNG PROBLEMS! The lungs are unbelievably fragile. Peroxide is something your body makes to fight infection, so you are not using some foreign material, and you are working to help. If you have given him an antibiotic, find a probiotic and give that to him (I'm not kidding, any health food store or "drug store" will know what he needs). The antibiotic kills most of the good bacteria in the digestive system, and nature abhors a vacuum.

Take him to another Doctor. He has an infection or he wouldn't be spitting up or vomiting green stuff. A woman that was in the N H
[NURSING HOME] that my mom is in had diarrhea plus she vomited some of the mucus up. They put her in quarantine, after they took her out of quarantine she still had diarrhea . They took her to th hospital by ambulance the 8th and she died yesterday morning. Don't play around with your son's life. Get him some help evevn if it means going to another Dr. or the E R

I would go back to the doctor. i had to do that earlier in the year and the first time I was diagnosed with a cold and given cold medicine and the second time I was diagnosed with whooping cough brought on by my asthma. If your son is still coughing and has mucus then you really should go back to the doctor. It might be minor but it could be worse.

no remember if this is clinically determined as allergies, his existence would be plenty much less annoying. sure i used to cough at evening and all kinds of problems. I wasn't clinically determined till i became 10. existence became plenty much less annoying after that. i'm 34 now and infrequently ever use an inhaler. try utilising a pillow or 3. Have him style of sitting up whilst he dozes off. He would have an hypersensitive reaction to feathers interior the pillows, would desire to be your cat, canine or your house is purely too dusty. Have them try salbutamol in a spacer, If it helps, you may no longer loose. A fan or air con unit would help ? I sleep with a fan and a window open all twelve months around. A bowl of water to maintain the humidity up if the air is purely too dry. somewhat honey and lemon to perhaps help with a dry throat ?

Try mucinex and call the doctor's office. It sounds like the antibiotic resisted. The doctor will put him on something else. Call the doctor's office or go to the ER.
