That is not grease. The number one ingredient in a garden burger is mushrooms. And guess what 97% of a mushroom is=water.
the wetness you talk about is mostly made of water not grease.

Veggie burgers vary greatly in terms of both quality and taste, depending on what brand, and what variety within that brand, you use. Personally, the only ones I like are the Morningstar Farms Grillers Prime ones. The others are all too soft for my liking.

I also have had very little luck pan-frying them. I usually bake them or barbecue them. I've never had a "greasy" veggie burger though. Even the soft ones aren't greasy, in fact if anything, I'd say most are on the dry side.

Try Morningstar. I think they're available pretty much anywhere these days. Veggie burgers DO still have fat in them, but it's much less (I think about 30% less) than a regular burger.

Some "garden" burgers are quite high in fat. I would recommend taking a look at the nutritional fact labels on several boxes to determine a product that does not have a high fat content. You will find some are not high in fat.

The reason some are high in fat, is because fat is a very flavorful food. Refer to other non-vegetarian food like meat burgers, and you will find that the most flavorful recipes call for high fat content meats. Much the same applies to processed vegetarian foods.

It is completely possible to provide flavorful low fat products, although it is more expensive to add herbs than it is to add fat in bulk processing. That is the main reason you see high fat amounts in many processed foods.

There are many varieties of garden burgers, and many different manufacturers. Read the ingredient labels carefully, and decide for yourself which are truly the best for you by judging ingredient lists and other content information. Becoming educated to the content of processed food will make you wiser, and give you the ability to eat healthier.

Grease or fat? Because the two are not the same. You don't get grease from a veggie burger.

What kind of burger did you use? They are all different. I can't stand Boca Burger because they taste just like McDonalds.

Here are the ingredients from an Original Garden Burger:

Ingredients
Cooked Brown Rice, Vegetables (Mushrooms, Onions), Water, Rolled Oats, Bulgur Wheat-Hydrated, Cheddar Cheese (Pasteurized Milk, Cheese Culture, Salt, Enzymes), Wheat Fiber, Mozzarella Cheese ([Pasteurized Milk, Cultures, Salt, Enzymes], Nonfat Milk, Corn Starch, Natural Flavors, Annatto [Vegetable Color]), High Oleic Canola Oil, Salt, Parsley, Dried Garlic, Isolated Soy Protein, Vegetable Gum, Autolyzed Yeast Extract, Soy Protein Concentrate, Milkfat, Apocarotenal (Vegetable Color), Soy Sauce Powder (Wheat, Soybeans, Salt), Spices, Citric Acid, Natural Butter Flavor, Natural Flavors, Annatto (Vegetable Color), Whey, Dried Onion, Dried Mushrooms. Contains Milk, Soy and Wheat.

And the ingredients from the Original Boca Burger

WATER, SOY PROTEIN CONCENTRATE, REDUCED FAT CHEDDAR CHEESE (PASTEURIZED PART SKIM MILK, CHEESE CULTURE, SALT, ENZYMES, ANNATTO [COLOR], VITAMIN A PALMITATE), WHEAT GLUTEN, CONTAINS LESS THAN 2% OF METHYLCELLULOSE, SALT, YEAST EXTRACT, CHEESE POWDER (CHEDDAR CHEESE [MILK, CHEESE CULTURE, SALT, ENZYMES], CREAM, SALT, LACTIC ACID), DRIED ONIONS, NATURAL FLAVOR (NON-MEAT), CARAMEL COLOR, SESAME OIL, BROWNED IN CORN OIL.

See? No "grease" in either. Very likely you tried to cook a frozen burger and what you got was wheat flavored water.

That was not grease. Sometimes when I cook a garden burger, the moisture seeps out a bit. It might seem, because of that, greasy but it's not.
