After I eat, no matter what it is, I get a bad taste in my mouth. I then have to eat some ice or drink water even though technically I am not thirsty. This usually take the bad taste away. Sugarless gum also works to a lesser degree. I never had it before I went on insulin so what I wanna know is, is the insulin or the combination of that and other meds I take the cause? Or is it just old age?

Your body emits what goes in, so yeah it is the possibility that of the medications making teh bad taste in yoru mouth. Obviously if you are brushing your teeth and tongue, it wouldn't be coming from there. But the medications are probably just adjusting to your system and there when they are digested into your system, the medications go all throughout, so yeah they could be the cause.

If it persist, then call your doctor and ask if that having the bad taste is a side effect and if there is something that can be done.

sorry, hope this helps

You are taking insulin ,so you appear to be a diabetic. In DM bad taste in mouth can appear. You should take multivitamins along with lactobaccilus.

The only thing I can say is that it is *not* old age. So that leaves the different drug affects.
