It is not common for you to get a std with out sexuall contact. But do remember there is herpes that can be contacted. No you the simple old fashion cold sore that we use to get on our lip. Well that is now called herpes. It can be treated but can spread with just touching from one area or one person to another. So with having contact with someone who might have herpes you can get. There is no cure from it however but it is and able to be treated.

Absolutely.
Some STDs like herpes and HPV (genital warts) can be contracted by just direct skin to skin contact with the genital area (or infected area) of another person.
HIV can be contracted too from other ways then just sex. Children are born everyday with the virus and some people get the virus from sharing needles and syringes with other people infected with the virus.
Also, almost all of the STDs can be passed to a child during birth if the mother has a STD. This isn't very common, but it is possible.

Yeah. You can get herpes from touching somebody that has the herpes virus on their skin and then touching yourself on your crotch, you can get the clap the same way, and so on for all STD's, except for HIV. You can get HIV also through using needle drugs.

Yes You can still get genital herpes or chlamydia. Some diseases like herpes can get transferred by skin and from bacteria in kisses. Know your partner and what they have been doing.

STD stands for sexually transmitted disease so if there hasn't been any sex then it would be impossible to be transmitted. that isn't including oral sex in which diseases can be transmitted.
