No. In fact, there is NO cure for genital herpes. It is a virus and viruses can NOT be cured.
There is medication to help control the outbreaks and the severity of the outbreaks, but it is NOT a cure. The medication can be taken everyday or just when the person is having an outbreak.
Usually the longer the person has had the virus typically the less outbreaks they get too. I have personally had the virus for over 6 years now and my last outbreak was over 2 years ago!

If you're asking will the sores go away within 3 months then the answer is definitely yes. The most they will stick around is about 6 weeks (worst case scenario). You should have your doc prescribe Valtrex for you if you haven't already and that will make them go away sooner. If you're asking if there is an overall cure for herpes then the answer is NO, there is absolutely no cure for herpes. The most you can do is suppressive therapy which is you'll take a smaller dosage (than they would prescribe for an outbreak) of Valtrex everyday to keep from having an outbreak. Good luck!

There is no cure for Herpes either simplex (lip cold sores) or type ii genital. YOu can spread it when you have no sores as well as when you have sores.
Valtrex and other such drugs suppress outbreaks to keep you comfortable. This is a "LIFER" STD.

There is no cure for Herpes. There are certain medications that will supress your outbreaks and make it easier to live with, but it will never go away or be cured.
You can also go to www.herpes.com for more info as well as support.

Sorry, no. And this applies to oral herpes as well, either herpes simplex type is forever.
There are antivirals that can reduce shedding of the virus, and if taken early during the primary outbreak can help reduce the tendency to have reoccurring outbreaks, but there is no cure.
