I was always wondering what Rice Milk was, what does it taste like and what is it made with? Thanks in advance for answering!

Tastes like, well, rice. It's sweetened (unless you get the unsweetened kind) and often has vanilla flavoring (sometimes you see chocolate or other flavors.)

If you don't think of it as a substitute for cow milk, it's not too bad. Think of it as...an alternative.

Try it on cereal or in recipes--drinking it straight-up might be a little unpleasant at first.

It's made from mooshed-up rice or rice flour and water, maybe a few vitamins and minerals if you get the fortified kind (check the labels.)

I prefer Silk, but rice milk's not too bad.

Rice milk is basically cooked rice mixed with water (then blended and strained.) Rice milk is made of brown rice (and sometimes sweetened with sugar or corn syrup.)

What it tastes like is an opinion that will vary person to person. It takes like brown rice more or less, so it has a littler nuttiness to it.

Here's a link that give you a few recipes for rice milk if you want to make it at home (as well as some for almond, oak and soy milk.)

I drink rice milk and I love it. It is less 'thick' than soy milk. If you are looking for an example, skim milk from a cow would be comparable to the appearance and texture of rice milk.
I hope that helps!

It is a milk substitute made from fermented brown rice. It is quite nice and is a little thinner than cow's milk. Ricedream is one of the brands. it is quite expensive to buy in the UK.

rice milk is actually the starchy residue after you cook rice. some people cook their rice for a longer period of time (cook out the starch) to create the "milk". a common thing is to add sugar to it.

It is self-explanatory. Rice milk is low fat milk with regular grains of white rice.

It's delicious, better than soy milk in my opinion, but it's not as good as soy milk for baking and stuff.
