Well since people are animals and we eat yeast the answer is yes. If you mean dogs, cats etc the answer is still yes. I can find no reference that yeast consumption causes problems with any animal.

yeah why not? I fed animals bread before and it contains yeast. If you mean like nutritional yeast as a vegan cheese substitute i never heard of feeding that to an animal, but i don't see why not, i read its high in protein and delicious.

Found this information which you might be interested in...it doesnt actually mention yeast as such but of course bread is made with yeast
Bread Dough When bread dough is ingested your dog's body heat causes the dough to rise in the stomach. During the rising process alcohol is produced as the dough expands. Pets who have eaten bread dough may experience abdominal pain, bloat, vomiting, disorientation and depression. A pet needs to eat only a small amount to cause a problem, because bread dough can rise to many times its size.

Yes.
People have been giving their pets Brewer's Yeast for years to fight fleas. Nutritional Yeast is better, since it's tasty. Brewer's Yeast is bitter. The high B content makes for strong blood and fleas don't like that.
Vegemite and Marmite are also good for pets. But FYI, do not give either to your pet rat. Vegemite and Marmite are like rat viagra.
