this is a vague question, you can basically peel the hell out of any vegetable like onions, shallots, potatoes, carrots, zucchini, yellow squash, iceberg lettuce, cabbages, artichokes...cant you?

Definitely not onion as you only peel outer layer of onion. Mostly sounds like artichokes.
