After having a recent PAP smear and other tests, she is now being scheduled for the "LEEP" procedure. Will her condition cause me to get cancer of the penis?

Penile cancer is the rarest form of cancer. It accounts for 0.2% of all men's cancers. It usually shows up late in life, and primarily in uncircumsized men. It is a good idea to inspect you penis on a regular basis. If you notice anything new, go to your doc. It is very, very, very, unlikely you will ever have a problem. Condoms provide little protection agains HPV. It is a personal choice. You have almost certainly been exposed, so I would say probably don't worry about it. However, if you are unsure of any other STD's, especially HIV, I would use condoms until you've both been tested.

What your g/f has is a virus that makes HER more susceptible to getting cancer. The LEEP procedure is going to be uncomfortable for her, so I suggest you be a little more supportive of her and quit worrying about yourself. You should be using condoms anyway Mr. Man!

Um, HPV is a virus, that is generally transmitted through sexual contact.....so if she has it, then either she got it from having sex with someone else or YOU have it and gave it to her. Either way, you should be doing some serious re-thinking about your life choices.

Go here and get the fact about HPV... http://www.cdc.gov/std/hpv/STDFact-HPV-vaccine.htm#hpvvac6

Then go buy a box of condoms...or better yet, say NO to sex and wait until you're married.

you will not get cancer of the penis. however, there are many differnet kinds of hpv - one of which is a form of warts. you need to find out if what she has can be transmitted from person to person.
