Condoms are generally made from latex. For those who have latex allergies, condoms can also be made from polyurethane and lambskin. They're a bit more expensive and may not work as well as latex.

Condoms can be made of a few different substances. The most common kind is latex.

Condoms can also be made from polyurethane and lambskin. There is even an "invisible" condom (it's a gel that hardens) and a spray on condom.

I don't know that it's actually called a "chemical," but are you talking about latex?
