I don't know why you titled your question Mayo Clinic? Was it addressed to them or was it about them?

In any case, I feel his problem is drug induced and needs a better management. I had vertigo and it is not funny. I fell because of it and luckily came out with a minor soft tissue injury to hip but it could have been worse.

Try a good family doctor who can monitor the situation closely and adjust the dosages etc.

I suggest taking medication with food, if he doesn't feel better , see a gastroenterologist.
What is reference to Mayo Clinic about?
Good health and good luck

vertigo can be LONG lasting. Was your husband's heart greatly damaged from the heart attck? If it was, that could be causing his problem as far as just not feeling well. I'm sure they've checked his liver enzymes, to make sure the meds aren't causing a problem. But, you could ask the doc which med MIGHT be causing the problem, ask if you could substitute it for another to rule that out. I'm sorry, sounds frustrating. I know meds are very important tho, to avoid more problems, but if it's interfering with quality of life, you need to make the doc understand. Maybe bring a family member with you to an appt. and re'iterate how miserable your husband feels.

In my opinion best will be to take second opinion, but from a different hospital. Vertigo can be because of unnecessary medication.
Give up an mental uplift program.

Vertigo, as your husband will tell you, is not fine. Consider going to an internal medicine doctor who can take him off of all medications and then determine which ones can be removed or provided at a lower dose.

The reason why he feels sick is because he is taking so much medication. It is not natural for the body to be taking pills because pills come with side effects. It's probably the side effects of the pills that's making him sick.
