i was just wondering if anyone had any ideas. Since i got pregnant and had my child a little over a year and a half ago i have had a problem with high blood pressure. for about the last month ive had extreme pain in my chest - it comes out of nowhere and my heart starts pounding. you can actually see my chest pulsating and my pulse in my wrist and ankles. its really uncomfortable. Im only 23 so im not that old and im mostly healthy - nothing major - the nurse said it could be caffiene problems but i dont drink caffeine - it sets off my migraines. i was just wondering if anyone else has experienced this problem or if anyone has any ideas on what may be happening? thanks

i don't know, but don't let the doctor just pass it off as stress or caffeine. Demand tests (like EKG, echocardiogram ect)

Usually people that SEE their pulse, are having an anxiety issue. The fact that your b/p is high probably has nothing to do with it. Just be gratefull he found your high b/p and can treat or watch it so no long standing health problems occur.
