Since I was just told I have Type 2 Diabetes, and need to watch my weight, would joining weight watchers be of any benefit? I am 4'11" and about 130 lbs-female, so could lose a few. But I don't know if the WW program is in line with the diabetic, food wise.

A lot of the WW foods have too much sugar for a type II Diabetic. I've found that if you simply limit your intake of foods with sugar (and everything has sugar, even unsweetened cereals) you will lose the weight. I was diagnosed with type II 6 months ago and have lost almost 20 lbs. Justcheck everything before you eat it. Good luck.

I wouldn't join a program like Weight Watchers, though I'm sure they probably offer a diabetic type program. You could easily just keep a journal of what you eat, and keep track of your sugar and carb intake. Just remember that portion control and sugar intake are the key to maintaining a healthy diet, which you definitley need to make sure you do, as you don't want any complications with your new diagnosis (aka having too little or too much sugar, leading to very bad experiences). Your best option would be to find a local diabetic support group, ask your doctor if there are any in your area. Good luck :)

I am writing to tell you what an incredible impact these methods had on my life! I have had type 2 diabetes for 27 years. For me, the worst part of this horrible disease is the severe pain I constantly get in my feet. The pain is so bad that I avoid standing and walking as much as possible. I've got to tell you that within the first month, my feet stopped hurting altogether and I can now walk totally pain free.

Believe it or not, I even danced at my niece's wedding last month, something I have not done in a many years. I've been following the book for six months now and my blood sugar is well within normal range. I feel great!

I recommend you use the Type 2 Diabetes Destroyer to naturally reverse your diabetes.

Forget anything you have ever been told about Diabetes.

And get this - it has nothing to do with insulin, exercise, diet or anything else you've heard in the past. It's all based on latest breakthrough research that Big Pharma is going Stir Crazy to hide from you.

I would actually not go for the Weight watchers program there is a program out there if you would like to try it, it's called the Atkins Diet. Try this my uncle has diabetes too and he uses this diet and it really works..Hope this helps.
