...I am a type one diabetic..so I can give you some accurate advice on this..

...ok..being addicted to tea...and your sugar intake has nothing to do with...being diabetic....or developing diabetes: HOWEVER....if you are overweight..by any means and.. continue to consume excess sugar in your diet...it could cause some concerns..towards the development of type 2 diabetes.

...you would KNOW if you were developing diabetes. You would drinks rediculous amounts of water and pee soooo much. You would generally develop muscle cramps from the vast dehydration...and dry/cracking skin. You would feel extremely weak and sluggish. You might lose a drastic amount of weight within a short period of time.

.....about a week before I was diagnosed...I began drinking...soo much water..and peeing soo much that it became annoying to go to the bathroom. i would wake up 4 and 5 times a night just to urinate. I would wake up with EXCRUCIATING pain from the leg cramps/dehydration. I then lost 12 lbs in 3 days..and I was so weak, I nearly had to be carried to the vehicle to go to the ER. ..anyhow.. ...the addiction to cereal and tea...is Not relavant to..diabetes.

You need to have a urine and blood tests.
Currently, I am seeing an Internist who has a blood testing facility in his clinic. If you have an insurance coverage you will only spend less than $100 for all the tests and office visits.
I have these tests done every three months.
If you are in the Dallas, Texas area I can recommend you to see my doctor at Baylor University Medical Center.
Good luck!

Without additional symptoms, I will haave to say no. Signs & symptoms of diabetes are weakness/fatigue of unexplained origin, unquenched thirst, sweaty, large amounts and frequent urination, headachs, blurred vision. Now if you continue having some tea and cereal along with your sugar, your pancreas will revolt and diabetes will result.

The fact that you eat alot of sugar doesn't necessarily make you a diabetic. However, too much sugar can be harmful because sugar is a poison. If you want to know if you are diabetic, go to your physician and have a blood test. Your A1C level will tell the doctor if your system metabolizes sugar properly.

You need to see a doctor to find out if your are diabetic. You could have hypoglycemia. You could also like sugar and tea and cereal and just over-indulge yourself,. or for that matter, you could be compulsive-obsessive. Get some professional help.

DIABETES--DEFINITION

Diabetes mellitus is impaired insulin secretion by the pancreas and variable degrees of peripheral insulin resistance leading to hyperglycemia (high blood sugar). Early symptoms are related to hyperglycemia and include polydipsia (excessive thirst), polyphagia (excessive hunger and abnormally large intake of solids by mouth), and polyuria (excessive urination). Later complications include vascular disease, peripheral neuropathy, and predisposition to infection. Diagnosis is by measuring plasma glucose (blood sugar). Treatment is diet, exercise, and drugs that reduce glucose levels, including insulin and oral antihyperglycemic drugs. Prognosis varies with degree of glucose control.

In the US, about 90% of diabetics are type II and 10% are type I.

DIABETES SYMPTOMS
Frequent urination
Excessive thirst
Extreme hunger
Unusual weight loss
Increased fatigue
Irritability
Blurry vision

Hope this helps. Best of luck.

You're not diabetic, but will be if you keep insisting on putting so much sugar in tea. It sounds like you're hypoglycemic. I would certainly pay a visit to your doctor and discuss this further. Advice on here is not as good as what you're doctor can give you.

As a healthcare provider I can tell you that what you are doing is not because you are now diabetic....but what you are doing will lead to diabetes......stop.
