Ever since last year, I've been always coughing up bloody sputum or phelgm in the mornings and sometimes during the day. I think it's because the stuff from my nose comes down to my mouth when I sleep and everytime I wake up in the morning, I always have to cough up bloody sputum. I know I always open my mouth while i sleep. so that's probably contributes it. But it's soo annoying, and I got used to it so I have to cough up something while I brush my teeth in the morning. I was just wondering if there is any way to get rid of this bloody sputum. I know I had just days that I didn't have to cough up something in the morning but that was a few years ago.
Also I have congential heart disease, so does that affect it?

thanks in advance

does your doc know this? It should't be something you do daily. No TB exposure is there, cause that's a hallmark sign.

it relies upon the place the phlegm is coming from..in case you're (sorry for the tmi) amassing it from the lower back of your throat/placed up-nasal drip out of your nostril then that is completely frequent as that is in basic terms the two inflammation or tiny burst vessels interior the nostril. happens to all people and that is definately no longer existence threatening, yet once you're coughing it up and that is popping out of your lungs..then get to the rfile as which would be very serious.

You need to see your doctor about this. Coughing up any amount of blood isn't a good thing, especially when you have a pre-existing condition.

You need to see a doctor.
You may need a chest x-ray.
I hope that you do not have a lung infection.
Good luck!
