It sounds like you may be catering to a Mormon person or persons. If that is true, hot chocolate may not be the best answer as chocolate contains a fair bit of caffeine, which is not included in a lot of Mormon peoples' dietary repertoire, hence no tea or coffee or even cols drinks. Herbal teas, though, mostly do not contain caffeine and are labelled as such on the packaging. If in doubt, get the teas in a reputable helath food store. Hot apple cider, especially if it is spiced with cinnamon, clove, nutmeg or the like is a very good alternative.

mulled cider...warm cider heated w/cloves and cinnamon sticks...be sure to fish out at end...
steamers--amazing drinks! if you've got a latte machine, just steam the milk and add whatever flavor you want...toroni makes some good syrups...otherwise you might want to consider investing in a stand-alone steam wand...seriously this will make the best hot chocolate you've ever had, and a delicious variety of other drinks (snickers steamers, gingerbread, peppermint patty...etc.) soooo good!

If you need to get some serious rest then heat up some milk with a little honey. The temperature rise in milk releases tryptophan normally not present in cold milk. Tryptophan will make you sleepy and you will get a good nights rest.
