So what im saying is, will my partner get genital warts? And how much of a threat is it? I don't want anything to happen to him, so i feel like i have to end this relationship because of my warts on my hand. This is extremely upsetting for me, and but i would kill myself if anything happens to him.

There are different kinds of HPV, sexually transmitted ones (like the ones that cause genital warts and cervical cancer) and there are non sexually transmitted ones, like the warts you get on your hands.
If you only have a kind of HPV that causes warts on your hands then your partner wouldn't get the virus from you by having sex with you. If you had genital warts though, then that would be a whole different story.

The warts on your hands are not the same as genital warts. If your pap test has ruled out HPV then a good move would be to go get the new Gardiasil vaccine which gives 100% immunity to the 4 most likely strains of HPV that is connected to cervical cancer. Forget the warts on your hands....go get the vaccine.

First and for most, Hello.
The first question is: Did your MD diagnose you with HPV? If so, then the following is what to go by. If not, then you should see you MD for further testing. Warts on your hands are not the same thing as warts and sores on your gentials. Sores on your gentials and mouth are more related to eachother as to your hands vs. gentials.
The answer is, Yes. Whether you have a breakout or not, even if you have no signs of a outbreak, you can get HPV. I am sorry. If you and your partner has already been INVOLVED then there is already a chance he has it. (Most likely). But some people carry the disease and never show symptoms at all. But are indeed carriers that pass on through and infect the other people it comes in contact with.
With that being said, it is not the end of the world. Many people have the virus and live happily ever after. The main concern is with pregnancy (delivery).
I hope this helps!
I would definetly recommend you seeing your PCP. he knows your chart and background and can give you a lot more advice on what to do if you do have HPV!
Best of wishs!

The warts on your hand should be a different virus than the warts that casue HPV, because they are genital warts.
If you have gential warts, then your partner could get HVP if you are indeed carrying the virus.
Some forms of cervical cancer are not picked up by the pap smear, but most forms of HPV are.
If you are really concerned abstain, or use a condom. You can always use 2 and some water based lubricant and be very safe, have it feel natural and not pass on anything.

This question does not make much sense. When you get a pap, they are checking for cervical cancer, not hpv. If you have warts on your hand, most likely that is just a benign wart, and has nothing to with HPV. Genital warts are very different than the wart that you would get on your hand.
If you are not mature enough to know that, maybe you shouldn't be having sex.

Talk to your doctor about HPV to get THE REAL FACTS! Some people can have and spread HPV with no signs or symtoms....If its on your hand ITS NOT AN STD but its still nasty and may cause a type of gential rash or warts.
Get your warts cleared up and until then keep your nasty wart infested hands off his junk if you really care about him!
