The ONLY thing that is going to make you fat is eating more calories than you burn!! Your body doesn't care where the calories come from. If you eat 10,000 calories of protein a day you'll get fat since I doubt you'd be able to burn that off. Same with fat or carbs! The highest calorie thing you could eat would be a tub of whatever pure grease/oil you choose. But if your only source of calories was (say) a teaspoon of that fat a day you'd still lose weight since (even in a coma) your body will burn more calories than that daily,
Now go enjoy a reasonable amount of peanut butter!

Peanuts, and all nuts, and all nut butters, are pretty high in fats, but that helps keep you satisfied. If you eat a large 300-calorie chocolate chip cookie, you'll be hungry for more soon because your spleen will release lots of insulin to eat up all that sugar in your bloodstream, it will overshoot, and your blood sugar will plunge, making you crave more sugar to replace the sugar you just ate.
If you eat 3 tablespoons of peanut butter instead, this won't happen and you won't crave sweets as much.
The "low carb" part of the peanut butter is probably the lack of added sugar.

I've lost 5 kilos in my first week. It's my 10th day and I have included salad with some protein (eg. egg/ lean chicken) as you suggested. After 4 years of trying, the fat is finally coming off. It truly feels like magic!
Get started today!

I think that if people stopped obsessing over calories and carbs and fat and protein and started to just pay attention when their bodies are hungry, the world would be a better place.

Yes, there is a lot of oils (fat) in peanuts and nuts in general. That can build up in your body as fat if you don't exercise enough to burn up what you take in.
Carbohydrate is sugar, wheat products, potatoes, rice, etc. (just about anything white). It's really hard to stay away from all that.
