The crux of Italian seasoning is basil, oregano, and rosemary. If you have those in dried forms you should be ok. Go light on the rosemary. Also, add some hot pepper flakes to your mix....brings out the flavor.

You can use a few like Basil, Oregano, Rosemary (just a little- it is very strong). I also like garlic- use more or less according to taste. When making spaghetti, I usually put a thin film of each spice over the top of the boiling tomato sauce. This usually works fine for taste.

italians almost never use oregano. that is an italian-american thing. try combining fresh basil leaves, hot peppers(if you can handle it)/cayenne pepper, crushed garlic, and some orangee rinds just to stew in the sauce for that hint of sweetness. make sure to put the tomatoes in last so it doesn't mess up the potency of the seasoning. also put in some sugar. i use brown.do not use salt. freshly grated cheese is great as well---tio let it melt into the sauce for flavor.

If you're making a tomato-based sauce (e.g. salso al pomodoro or salsa Bolognese), just basil, oregano and flat-leaf parsley will suffice. You can leave out the parsley too, if you don't have any. Equal measures of dried basil and oregano.

basil and oregano. The proportions depend on your brand, but I would just shake a bunch out until it smells good. : )
Don't panic. Spaghetti is always good.

You can add a little bit of salt & pepper,a little olive oil , crushed fresh garlic, oregano and even a little bit of crushed red pepper flakes if you like it a little (spicy) hot.

Well, hopefully you have basil and oregano...that's number one...onion and garlic powder is good too. Rosemary if you have it too, but it's not absolutely important.
