I'll throw in another vote for Dr.Bronners! In my travels I frequently find that Kroger stores carry it and ANY real health food store will have the liquids and the bar forms of the soap. The liquid versions are concentrates so pay attention to the text on the bottle that screams "DILUTE!!DILUTE!!DILUTE!!". DR.B is a little strong for use on you hair but the health food stores have the excellent products from Nature's Gate for that. I've used their shampoo's and conditioners for over 20 years now (when I'm not in making my own). If you want to be a 'macho' man feel free to use Dr.B on your hair but your partners will strongly prefer the effect of the Nature's Gate products.

BTW; as a man you might like to know that *nothing* strips axle grease better than DR.B's undiluted liquid soaps.

I'm a huge fan of Lush (I prefer shower gels to soaps); while the company isn't entirely vegan, many of their products are. Their Olive Branch shower gel is the best mood elevator ever. Avalon Organics also has some nice shower gels (I love their Lemon and their Ylang Ylang gels), and I can find them at Whole Foods. I think all their shower gels are vegan. J/A/S/O/N has some good products as well.

Try Trader Joes, or look at each label carefully to see if the ingrediants contain the offensive products. You might want to check some name brands online. I use Dr. Bronner's Peppermint Castile Soap in liquid form. It's about as pure as it comes and comes in bars as well. I've only been able to find it at health food stores and once in a very large Raleys. Good luck!

St. Ives Brand is good, and you can find it almost anywhere.

Kiss my face brand is somewhat harder to find, but they're excellent, and Trader Joes I know does have them.

Tom's of Maine!

You probably couldn't find it anywhere, but I know it is sold nationally.
