There have been zero known cases of contacting HIV through saliva. It is theoretically possible. Even if you swallowed a gallon of blood from a person that was infected unless you have an open wound you would probably not get it. Blood transfusions and needle-sharing are the best ways to get it. When a person first gets it they are more contagious and when they have AIDS they are also more contagious. The middle time they are less contagious.

Ask your biology or health teacher if you have more questions.

Not likely, the person with HIV,would have to have an open sore. The sore would have to contact the cigarette, and then contact an open sore in your mouth. The HIV virus can only live outside the human body for aout 30 seconds. So it's not likely but, somewhat possible.
