No. Diabetes is a problem with your blood sugar being too high. Your pancreas doesn't produce insulin like it's supposed to.
A stroke is caused by either a bleed into the brain (which causes lots of damage) or a clot that blocks oxygen from certain parts of your brain (which also causes alot of damage). You can die from a stroke, and many do every day, but many people get help through the ER and rehabilitation can bring some function back.
Having a stroke will not cause you to have diabetes, and having diabetes will most likely not give you a stroke. A stroke is a life-altering one-time event, whereas diabetes is a life-long disease process. Some that acquire diabetes as a child grow out of it, but if you acquire it as an adult, you have it for the rest of your life.

One does not cause the other and they are not alike.
A stroke is when the blood in your brain ceases because of a clot OR when a vein erupts and bleeds into the surrounding tissue.
Diabetes is when there's a build up of sugar in the blood. The pancreas makes insulin to help the body's cells absorb the sugars. A major danger here is poor circulation leading to other problems.
I've known lots of people with diabetes that have never had a stroke.

They're not alike. Diabetes is an ongoing, chronic condition, a stroke is a one time event. A stroke occurs when blood vessels to and in your brain become clogged. It's similar to a heart attack, but in the brain. Diabetes is a disorder that mostly involves insulin resistance. They can often be caused the same things, especially poor diet.

diabetes happens when a person's pancreas stops making insulin for the body to use sugar. it can cause a stroke because it breaks down the arteries and veins in a diabetic person. a stroke happens when enough blood cannot get to the brain. damage to a diabetic person's body takes a long time, perhaps years. damage to a stroke victim's brain happens very quickly, but if caught soon enough, can be reversed. functions of the body are affected because the brain no longer can control them.

No and yes.
Diabetes can cause stroke because diabetes causes vasculopathy (diseases of th blood vessels), which can cause stroke, either ischemic or haemoorhagic.
Recovering from stroke may be a very stressful situation and the stress plus reduced exercise may also raise one's blood sugar, so yes, diabetes may be caused.
A good question.

Diabetes is a metabolic disorder and stroke is a vascular disorder. Are the diseases alike? No, not at all. Diabetics may have a higher than normal chance for a stroke or CVA.

No. and No.
Someone has diabetes if their body is naturally unable to regulate blood sugar levels (glucose).
A stroke occurs when someone has brain death in certain areas of the brain caused by a blood clot in the brain or a leak of blood in the brain (hemorrhage).
