Try the Citizens' Advice Bureaux or a local NHS doctor's surgery. Failing that your local Hospital will either have a "walk-in" centre or at least an information desk that can get you all of the information you need to get the treatment you require. If all of this fails try getting in to contact with the Terrence Higgins trust www.tht.org.uk. They are the biggest and most established AIDS charity in the UK. Hope this helps!!

I'm not sure whether simply being HIV+ would mean you would automatically be declared unfit for work. A job or college course might help you feel less socially excluded. If you feel happy, you have a better chance of staying healthy.

As a British citizen, you qualify for NHS treatments, and your local social security office can give you forms for financial assistance. Get advice from the Citzens Advice Bureau to help you fill them in more effectively.

Have you registered with a doctor? Next step is to make a private appointment at your local social security office. They'll give you all the information you need about health care and financial help. Make sure it's going to be a PRIVATE appointment. Everyone listens to other peoples business in the open office.

Assuming you're entitled to NHS treatment you just go to the doctors for healthcare, and they refer you on to whoever else you need to see... and you may also be entitled to certain benefits due to having a long-term health condition. I'd look on the DWP (Department for Work and Pensions) website for details, and then apply at the JobCentre. The only thing I don't know is whether having been out of the country makes any difference to these entitlements - check the NHS and DWP websites and I expect you can find out.
