Oral Sex is unsanitary if the receiver doesn't wash their genital areas. Though the Vagina, is a self cleaning organism it is always safe to wash it. The Penis can be dirty also, but is very easy to wash.

actually if a person has no sores or wounds in the mouth it is harder to get an std this way because of the acidity in the stomache. that said you can get herpes and warts this way.
vaginal sex is more unsanitary and less safe.

I have never heard of animals having oral sex!Even they know better!
