No you cant, not unless a hiv positive person got cut or bled in that SAME exact area like 2 minutes before!!!!! HIV virus disinegrates when it hits air, ones hiv positive blood is dried, the virus is dead....VERY unlikely like .0001% ever to happen that way!!! i wouldn't worry if i were you at all!!!!! If it makes u feel safer, then get a HIV test, but you should really wait a few months becuz it does take up to 6 months to even show up that you have HIV after you have been exposed..... I do study this topic a lot.....i am in the medical field, i do deal with HIV positive blood....If you do not feel better me telling you this, please consult a doctor and ease your fear.

I don't know why everyone is saying no. If it dies so quickly, then why does everyone have to be careful around the blood of an hiv patient? But, I do think the only way you could get would be to have an open cut that came into contact with the blood.

No. The hiv-virus does not live long enough once it is exposed to air---1 minute, and the hiv-virus is dead.
The only way you can contract hiv is via DIRECT fluid exchange-sex, needles etc. Drug=addicts who contracted hiv via dirty needles did so because they used the very same needle within a minute after used by an hiv infected person. You can't even get hiv via kissing---hiv does not go into a person's saliva

No, not likely. The virus can't survive outside the body for more then about 20 minutes. This scenario is very unlikely, unless there was blood all over the road. Don't be so worried.

NO you can't get HIV in that manner. The only way to become infected with HIV is sharing IV needles, unsafe sex with a known HIV positive person etc. It takes body fluids, blood, semen vaginal fluids. Please read up on HIV,and know the facts for yourself,it may save your life. Take care. SW RNP
