Did you hear they found more cattle infected with mad cow disease? Since they're only testing one out of every 200,000 cows I wonder who ate all the ones they didn't test? How's your brain been working? Been forgetting things? Gee, I guess it'll be us veggies taking care of you as your vCJD continues to progress. You better be a lot nicer to us.

the health benifits by cutting out meat from your diet are so numerous. I am not a vegetarian, but I know a bunch of them and have studied the nutritional values for vegetarinaism in school. Just know that by not eating meat you reduce your chances for coronary heart disease by 90% or so. I mean it's staggering how bad it is for you to eat meat regularly. When people make fun of you tell them that you hope they enjoy thier heart attack when their 40 years old and how you're sure their children will understand why they're orphans because their mommy and daddy just couldn't resist that bacon wrapped ribeye.

Also, you could ask how they would like it if a race ofaliens came to earth and started herding and killing us for food?
Point out the many enlightened figures and movements based around vegetarianism, and highlight the positive and progressive nature of the lifestyle, compared with the negative one of meat eating.
Finally, remind them that many serial killers and similair criminals have "started out," in slaughter houses. And don't let them tell you Hitler was a veggie; even if he was, that makes no difference!

Tell them one or all of the following:
- A really gross statistic about the meat they are eating.
- "I wouldn't be talking, it looks like youv'e had one to many chicken nuggets."
- Ask them "What's the difference between a pedophile and a meat eater? Nothing, they both take advantage of innocent life and are a disgrace to mankind."
- Ask them "Why do you feel the need to make fun of vegetarians? Is it because you lack the strong willpower I possess, or is it simply because your arrogant and self-centered."
-Tell them your practicing the Ancient Mesopotamia way of dieting and it avoids meat. (It's a true fact, Mesopotamians did abstain from meat, and they'll just look at you and be like "wow," she knows her stuff.)
Or else, just don't waste your time.
I admire you, it takes so much strength and willpower to become a vegetarian. I've tried it so many times, but it really takes a lot of perseverance. Go vegetarians!

I am not a vegetarian but my adult daughter is. Just tell them to mind their business and get their own life. I was teased my a former friend of mine because I cook the vegetables and potatoes separately for my daughter when I made pot roast. She couldn't understand why my daughter couldn't just pick the meat out. Some people are just ignorant.

I have never had a great comeback for that.
I stopped eating meat in 1970. I don't care if people have opinions about my diet, just don't try to make me eat stuff that grosses me out!

I usually just ignore them, or say, "Yeah and you look like Humpty Dumpty and I look like Marcus Schenkenberg.
People who are staunch meat eaters are far too ignorant and "old school " to understand the benefits of fresh fruits and vegetables.
My housemates make fun of me because I use my juice extractor everyday, meanwhile they're suffering from fatigue and cancers (colon cancer, prostate cancer, etc) , skin disorders, etc.
Don't argue with ignorant people, it's not worth your time and just makes you look ignorant as well. More importantly it's just not worth your time.
You are much smarter than those people disparaging you because of your eating habits, which are far healthier than theirs.

Just reply with a joking insult like:
"You deserve a whipping with a bamboo shoot"
or
"I wish I had a bowl of beans because you sure deserve a little methane"
If they laugh, they were just joking with you. If they don't, you're better off without them.

That you actually have morals.
That it is a scientifically proven fact that vegetarians are smarter than meat-eaters.
You are skinnier.
You can control yourself around meat.
I applaud you and respect you! I could NEVER become a vegetarian.

dont argue with them. just feel sorry for them. its obviously a particular enlightenment that some people sadly have not experienced. you know what you are and why youre that way.
i think some people do it because it is genuinely really challenging to them. some people dont like any disruption in their life. they feel comfortable with life as they know it. they dont want to change. and when they see difference it effects them personally and emotionally. it makes them defensive.
for people who become offensive, just remove yourself from them, because theyre toxic and just trying to pick a fight with you, no matter what it is, theyd probably find something. isnt it funny how ignorant people can be so vulgar? dont stoop to their level. just be who you are. it speaks for itself.
