A cure for HIV/AIDS would only be worth a fraction of what companies currently get for "treating" HIV/AIDS.
As long as there's a profit to be made in "treatment" don't expect a "cure.

Is there a price to put on extending another humans life? What about the children in Africa with HIV? Celebrities have millions and billions of dollars, and I would hope that they would help with their wealth. As for the question of would it be released, the government could have the cure for hiv/aids and just won't let it out. You never can tell. I'm sure that it would be released if it didn't have a terrible possible side effect, for example, death or something..

there must be a cure for hiv because magic johnson is good to go, he was diagnosed 15 yrs ago. i bet it costs a bundle though

there is no cure BUT i think it would be worth it because you can die slowly from this and if i were to have that i wouldnt want to see myself deteriating (however you spell it)
