It is not a gene. There are genes that can predispose people to obesity, but it is not unavoidable. Just get off your *** and exercise, and dont' eat more calories than you burn. It is really that simple.
Type II diabetes is not caused by a "tired" pancreas. It is thought to be a decrease in sensitivity to insulin possible due to a downregulation of the receptors in muscles and the liver.
The reason type I diabetics are often obese (although not necessarily so) is that their body is usually in a hyperglycemic state which inhibits fat breakdown. Insulin stimulates the muscles and liver to take up the excess glucose in the blood and convert it to fat and glycogen.

No. Any genes that MIGHT exist that PREDISPOSE people to overeat are likely to be co-dominant. And hundreds of genes are likely to be involved.

What you are asking is like, "is tallness a dominant, recessive, or sex-linked gene?"

Im type 2 diabetic. I went on insulin in 2005 after so many years of being on pill meds.
I really think its dominant gene problem. I've seen people who sit on their **** all day and do nothing but eat but theyre thin as a rail with six pack abs and guess what??? Theyre over 45 and still slim and eating like hippos and still slim! So its a combination of genetics and slow metabolism for us.

So please dont tell me i need to get off my azz...ive tried..tried cutting down on food too.

You'd have to talk to a doctor or scientist for this info.
I have to guess that it is not sex linked since people of both sexes get it.
Some people are naturally thin and other are not regardless of what they eat.
Scientists are working on this now and when we can find that gene, we will be able to "cure " being overweight.

No obesity is not always a genetic problem it may be related to lack of insulin release or lack of sex hormones in body so you should have tests to find the actual reason to find out why are you overweight . Sometimes lack of thyroid hormone is another reason of obesity . which is called hypothyroid

It is the healthiest type of Pearson for the time when people had food after they hunt, they ate a lot and could safe some fat, because they never new when they'll have food again. Now time these people just have control themselves and eat what they need, not for the future.

people become obese because they are addicted to food, and have over compulsive eating disorder, and they could have gotten like that because of life experiences. food makes them feel good because nothing else does, or they are trying to stuff their feelings down. so in that case dominant but if it is recessive then, that means they were raised eating bad food and never got out of the habbit. i don't think if really has anything to do with sex.

Its genetic If your parents are obese you have a high chance of becoming obese too, but if you eat healthy and exercise daily, you have nothing to worry about.........I'm just glad my parents are obese.

It is a grocery related issue. As in, obesity is linked to stuffing too many groceries down your pie-hole.

It is genetically encoded in Type I diabetes (AKA juvenile diabetes).
Type II diabetes is caused by age- the pancreas gets tired- or by improper diet and sedentary lifestyles.
