My fiance and I have been together for 5 years, with NO symtoms of genital herpes. Then all of a sudden bam, he has about 6 or 7 sores on his penis. I asked him if he's ever had anything like it before, and he said yes, one time when he was 17 and not as many. He said it was probably just from dry sex then and now with me. It looked fishy to me, but i trusted him, so i went ahead and had sex with him anyways. His sores went away in about a week. About a week later I started getting irriated down there and thought it may be a yeast infection. 10 days after that my labia got red, swollen and little red bumps that turned white. I also had lesions on each side and inside the entrance of my vagina. I freaked out that day and went straight to the doctor's for swab's. I think he cheated, but he insists that he never had herpes, but his stories keep changing. When he first had the sores , you would think he would have got tested if he wasn't quilty. I'm still having a breakout 3 weeks later.

Honestly - it sounds like it might be genital herpes. And, It's pretty sad that he never told you he had it or about his incident when he was 17. He should have been tested at 17 to see if it really was genital herpes or not.

I was in so much pain during my first outbreak and it lasted weeks! Your symptoms sound somewhat how mine were during my initial outbreak. I also felt very fatigued and had flu like symptoms. It was horrible!

Hopefully you'll find out soon from your doctor if you do have genital herpes or not. Good luck!

I am absolutely terrified and I feel so alone. I just found out last week that I tested positive for hsv1 and 2. I have been with the same man for the past 10 years and within the last year found out that he has cheated on me with numerous women. I am so scared that I can give it to my children by kissing them and them eating with me...I feel like my whole life has changed. And even though the nurses, my doctor, and websites say that a lot of people have it I still feel like I am by myself. My self esteem has dropped and I feel like I have been used up. But now, My life is very happy.

What baffles me is why you had sex with someone with sores on his penis?!?! You should have sent him to the doctor to have it checked out and refrained from sex untilhe was given the all clear...genital herpes is a souvenir that stays with you forever. I don't think you should be asking yourself whether this man has cheated on you, but why has he been so callous to put you at risk of sexually transmitted infections. To say he thought they were friction burns from dry sex is ridiculous...unless you have a vagina lined with sandpaper of course.

Ditch this idiot and go to the doctor again for repeated check-up and aproppriate treatment. Next time don't trust anyone when it comes to health...just think, it could have been HIV that he's given you.

Tell you boyfriend to be tested for herpies. It takes 3 months for the anitbodies to show up in the blood test. Don't be all bent out of shape with you bf just yet. My bf (who is a doctor) was exposed to herpies 7 years ago, never had an outbreak until he met me (I tested negative for herpies) he was all stressed out simply because I didn't show up for a lunch date. At this stage of in your relationship I think you need to stick together and work through this until you know for sure what you are dealing with. Did your culture come back positive?

herpes is more easily transmitted from a guy to a girl. most guys don't have symptoms. everything that you described tells me that you have herpes. my ex did the the same thing. im convinced that he knew, he just never told me. im sorry. herpes is not by any means the worst thing in the world. it is annoying yes, but there are worse things out there. you will never have an outbreak as bad as the first. i have also noticed that after i tell a new partner about my condition, they are pretty ok with it. just wear a condom. best of luck
