Indian restaurant, that would be out of India, but shall i tell you about Indian restaurants in India,by an Indian customer? I would order tandoori chicken with butter nan if i fancy north Indian food, mutton biryani with accompaniments if i want Moghlai cuisine,or south Indian would be a thali meal, which includes a puri, vegetable dish, rice dal, sambar & curd with a pickle, papad & curd. For dessert with any of these i would order a kulfi which is local icecream of very concentrated milk, set in cone like moulds.

I usually do a buffet and eat everything possible! But, in particular, I love Balti Butter Chicken and samosas. There's also a dessert made with shredded carrots that is similar to rice pudding and it is fantastic! Oh and I have to mention naan. Now I'm hungry.

Onion kulcha bread as an app. Mango lassi to cool things off. And chicken kadhi (yum!) as the main course. Quality Indian food rocks!

Before becoming a vegan, I went for lamb biryani. Mmm! Now that I'm vegan, I'd have to ask the waiter if the vegetable biryani has any meat stock in it. If not, that's what I'm ordering. Oh yes, and I love naan.

dana katherine...what you described is greek and/or lebanese, isnt it?
anyway, im indian, so ill just tell you what my favorite indian foods are, since i dont really go to indian restaurants lol.
i love naan. especially with palak paneer. that is also good with rice. someone mentioned mango lassis, those are TO DIE FOR. i love them. if they have pakora, thats a good appetizer too. spicy. if they have specialty desserts, jilebi is awesome, its a bright orange color.

I like to order a mango lassi for my drink. I start off with samosas usually, and I get lamb vindaloo and naan for my main course. If they have rice pudding I get it for dessert.
