I am not sure if I have an infection or a STD. But I just started my period and it was late for one thing and the cramps were a killer. I have never had cramps like this since I had my baby over a year ago. I have been in bed all day not wanting to move because it hurt so bad.

You need to go to the doctor for a check up. If your cramps are severe and worse than normal, this could be caused by either an
STD or an infection. The only way to get an STD or infection is to have had unprotected sex with someone that either had an infection or an STD. You cannot contract an STD from the toilet seat. You should really get an appointment with your doctor and let them look at you and run tests or do some labs on you to make sure that this is not something serious or something that could be detrimental to your health. You said that you have a baby, and you want to be there to see this child grow up and become an adult, so do what you should do and get in to your doctor's office Monday, or if you're really worried about this, go to the local e.r. in your hometown.
Go to www.WebMD.com and see if you can also find your answer, but you really need to go in for a check up right a way.

Sounds like you have a late period cuz 50% of all late periods are miscarriages.

Get to the doctor if your bleeding and cramping gets worse.
this is normal and it happens when you are late, your body is ridding out the nonviable. your period was late cuz you were pg, now you are not.

go to doctor and get std's test!!!
