If you have used it can you tell me if it is spicy or not. I cannot eat hot spicy type stuff

it's not really spicy...if you're cooking ground beef, just use a quarter or half the packet and you should be fine. Don't use the whole packet! Otherwise you will burn your mouth!

I like it, but my kids think it is too spicy. So I use the Taco Bell taco seasoning, not spicy at all and they like it. Another thing you can do to cut down the heat of Old El Paso is to use only half of the packet.

if your looking for the "taco" taste but don't want the after-burn, put some cumin in it. look in the spice section, this is a real answer, try it...sprinkle it into the cooked meat,stir and than smell or taste it your nose should let you know...you will not go back to packaged..
