Considering that salads consist of a variety of vegetables (lettuce, carrots, celery, tomatoes, cucumber, mushrooms, etc.), then yes, salad would be considered a vegetable. Mind you, there are other types of salads including fruit salad, chicken ceaser salad and aspic salad that could not be categorized under the same umbrella.

Depends on what kind of salad it is. Could be full of vegetables. It could also be a pasta salad or a fruit salad.

Sure, raw vegetables in a salad count as vegetables! The more variety, the more vitamins! Top with soysauce sauteed tofu chunks or peanuts for added protein! Yummy!

salad is to vegitable as burger is to meat.
Salad can be a vegetable, but it can also be completely meat...
lettuce is, of course...
but salad is basically a mixture of greens and other things together...
you cant grow salads in the ground... so no, its not a vegi.

Unless there is a grilled chicken breast in your Caesar Salad, silly, salad is a conglomeration of different types of vegetables.....from leafy greens to tomatoes to any number of chopped veggies that you add to compose your salad........

if it is pasta salad it is not a veggie......... if you refer to the green and red mess called dinner salad then YYEESS .... any dish or plate that is comprised of vegetables is just exactly and for certain and without a doubt a VEGETABLE .....

of course it depends on the TYPE of salad- like what's in it. I can tell you, however, that if you're trying to eat salad to be healthier, you need to NOT used iceburg lettuce as the only sorce of lettuce in the salad cos it has almost no nutritional value.
