It's wrong to make fun of anyone if it causes them any distress.
I am a meat eater but I wouldn't make fun of you..and I hope you wouldn't be making fun of me either.
Personal choices are exactly that and anyone who thinks they are an opportunity to ridicule just hasn't got out of the playground yet

It is wrong to make fun of anyone. It is immoral. I treat people the way I want to be treated which is in a kind and respectful way. Is this the way you want to go about your life? Making fun of vegetarians? I think you should stop because it would be the right thing to do.

So if they were Afrocaribean, Muslim, Jewish physically or mentally challenged would you make fun of them , no because it is non - PC and undiverse!!! What makes poking fun at Vegetarians/vegans ok in your book? Is it a guilt thing for eating the cadavers of a cow/pig/sheep etc or are you too THICK TO even CARE? If slaughterhouses looked liked Greenhouses there would be tonnes more vegetarians !!

Well, just because someone's a vegetarian doesn't mean that you can't make fun of them for anything, assuming that they're your friend. But it's wrong to make fun of someone for their choices, and can be quite hurtful. That's like making fun of someone for their appearance or something, only worse because it's often even more hurtful, seeing how it can cause someone to become a robot who just does what everyone else says and all.
Though actually, being a vegan with a sense of humor, I love being made fun of for it! What can you say to offend me- "you're a PLANT EATER!" I mean, *gasp!* Ya think? Or, "Haha! You can't eat veal!" Yes, I would so love to participate in your consumption of cut up, tortured baby cow. I can't think of anything hurtful you could say about vegetarianism to a vegetarian, and most things that you can say make you look stupid.
So I guess it depends on who you're asking. I'd say that it just makes you look like an insecure, undereducated bully, to tell you the truth!

No, you really shouldn't but hey, I'm a vegetarian and I get made fun of all the time for making that choice. Whatever floats your boat.

It's alright to make fun of them as long as they're alright with you making fun of them.
Don't offer a vegetarian meat, jello, etc. though. I think in general we vegetarians would take that as more of an insult than a joke.

it really depends- if the person doesn't care, then go ahead. It's still rude- your making fun of someone who made a choice that should be respected, not insulted. However if the person doesn't really care and you know it won't hurt them then just be careful what you say- it can be hard being a vege! Try being one for a week or so before you decide to tease someone.

Of course it is! Just because they are vegetarian, and choose to help animals, doesn't give you the right to tease them. Infact, they should really be teasing you...they're doing a lot more for the world than you are!

It discriminatory to make fun of anyone's choices, and at times it's also racist. Racism is a hate crime.
Think again about your definition of fun.
