Yes! Smoking cars is far more dangerous than smoking cigarettes. I would stick to cigars if I were you. I tried patches, but they are very difficult to keep lit. But anyway, I'm not a heavy smoker, I only get through two lighters a day.
And people are so rude to smokers! You would think they would be more polite to people who are dying!

The "fumes" from a modern, well maintained car are almost all CO2 and water. If you really want to do something about cars, we need to ban old cars. A single car from 1950 puts out as much harmful pollutants as 1000 cars made in 2007.
A single cigarette gives you as much "pollution" as 6 hours of smog.
We also need to do something about all the cows "out gassing" methane...

I have a funny feeling you are a smoker struggling to justify your potentially fatal habit. High concentrations of vehicle fumes are indeed toxic and I wouldn't like to live over a main road in London now. However overall smoking is inevitably going to shorten your life due to heart disease. Is probably going to give you a level of symptomatic airways disease and if you are unlucky will pick you off early with lung cancer.
Pollution is toxic but statistically there is no comparison.

The emissions are being reduced but with just so many vehicles they fumes are never going to be good. The only answer would be to scrap all petrol and diesel engines and make every car electric...not likely to happen over a short period of time!

Yes, yes, yes. About time someone brought this up.
Car drivers cause more polution than smokers. Petrol with lead in it causes brain damage in children. So if you live near a town or city centre, then cars are causing your child brain damage.
But before I get torn up for ar$e paper, I realise that drivers take their cars out in open spaces whereas smokers can cause passive smoking diseases. I am neither a smoker nor am I any longer a driver.

Yes let's ban all motorised transport - you have had a great idea. We should also stop using electricity in our houses as the power stations are bad for health too. You should set a good example and scrap your car and get your electricity disconnected from your home, when everyone sees how healthy you have become they will follow your example.
