monday i got the test. They said I could call and find out some of the results but others i will have to come in. I was okay with that. I called thursday and they said they have the results but it is not signed by my doctor so they cannot release it to me. She said my doctor is not in today. She said you can either try to call back 2marrow or wait when you come to your appointment time. She said when would you like to make it. I said well do i need to make it immediatly or can i make it next week or something. She said next week is okay. I call back on friday to try to get the results. A new lady told me well i have a note here saying you made an appointment on monday so she is just going to give them all to you then. I said well the other lady told me if the doctor signs them then someone can read it to me. She said well ma' am i am sorry i just have to go by the notes. my question is IS THIS BAD? IF SOMETHING WAS REALLY WRONG WOULD THEY HAVE CALLED ME OR SAID TO COME IN RIGHT AWAY?

You should have adopted safe sex i.e, protected sex. If so, the present anxiety should have been avoided. You sexual partner should also be tested for STD (genital warts). If the infection is genital Herpes, you will get painful blisters in your private parts. In the case of HPV (genital warts), you will get small red spots, some times irritating. Please keep waiting and hoping for the worst not to be happened.
Please see the web pages for more details on Safe sex and Genital warts.

I work for a Doctor and if we get in a positive test or a out of normal range on any test then we try to contact the patient and have them make an appointment as soon as they can come in to discuss treatment options. We do not give these kind of test reports over the phone for how do we know its the patient that is calling us for sure? If we assumed it was you and gave the report then found out it was your wife or someone else then you could sue us for HIPAA regulation violations of release of medical information. Rest easy, it it was really bad you would have been called in.

why to people always come to the worst conclusion? there could be nothing wrong, but some results have to be given to the patient in person because of the nature of the test, hiv tests for example , the results for these are not allowed to be given over the phone for privacy reasons, so just chill out and go see your doctor.

If it was something bad, the would have called you right away to get it taken care of. Otherwise that could be considered malpractice. They probably have ghetto people working in the administration part of the office and they don't care. Don't worry until you know you have something

can't tell exactly... depends on the institutions policies.... best is to try to go there and get the results... ask your doctor or a nurse if you don't understand what the results mean and comply with the medication regimen, if it is needed.

do not think of anything drastic just yet, because we do not know the real situation...
