It kind of depends. If you have an STD such as herpes or HIV, it makes you more susceptible to getting another STD.
I personally have both genital herpes and HPV and have had them both for about 6 years. I have had problems with both viruses, but not at the same time. What I mean is - my outbreaks aren't twice as painful because I have two STDs compared to one for example.
Since mine are both caused by viruses I will have them both for the rest of my life. But if a person had two bacterial STDs at the same time, like gonorrhea and syphilis, they can both be treated and cured with some antibiotics.
Just because a person has more than one STD doesn't make them anymore of a "higher risk". A STD is a STD - regardless of how many you have.

Then they are just screwed! I don't see how that could be impossible. But in order to that you would have to have multiple partners at a time usually. It's not common but it can happen. I would think that once you have one...what does it matter if you get another at the same time? You will just save money on antibiotics because you can knock them both out at once! lol

Depends on the combination to know the risks. Having to STD's is not good for your health and make sure the person is eating right and excerising.

That depends. If it's the deadly duo of HIV and Hep C, things aren't looking too good. The next runners up: herpes and HPV - still not that great, but certainly not deadly.
But if you've got say...chlamydia and gonorrhea? Not much worse than having one of them. Burning urination and discharge is bad, having two bugs in your pipes isn't going to make it any worse. Anyway, these two examples are easily cured with a week of pills - and a box of condoms and better judgment in the future.
