Don't let people bring you down with criticism about your goth theme.

My son got married last Halloween and they used the colors of Midnight Blue, Mulled Lavendar and Dove Gray. It was dark, but totally beautiful - actually elegant. (It was less obvious that doing everything in black.) Anyway - the decorations were vintage Victorian scroll-work kind of things - carved gargoyles and dark angels - very Old World. It was very beautiful and totally fun.

I think if you went with that sort of elegant -decadent -Old World look it would be awesome, moody and so different from what everyone else is doing.

Party favors could be a lavender rose tied with a silver ribbon at each place setting.

Or - they sell this little tiny corked bottles (in the wedding section at Wal-Mart) - you could get these - print off labels on your computer that say "Poison" or "Drink me" or your sister's name potion - and then fill it with Big Red or Green Koolaid or whatever you like. Then tie a ribbon around the neck of the bottle.

If you went with more of a fantasy theme - you could give them bags of "Faerie dust" (glitter and star confetti).

Or a crystal goblet filled with silver Hershey's kisses would be a kick butt favor.

Good luck - have fun! Your sister is lucky to have you!

I hate to have to tell you this, but the whole point of being a Goth is that you are iconoclastic, i.e., a person who attacks cherished beliefs, traditional institutions, etc., as being based on error or superstition.
If your sister is a Goth, I wouldn't think she would want a "Sweet Sixteen."

Go to Hot Topic.com.....they can give you lots of ideas....don't forget the right music for the party...you will have to find out who she really likes to listen to...maybe you could do a "concert theme" that would be fun

Go to Cup Cake Cult at Hot Topic web site or go to their store for accessories.

Trust me the Gothic thing is NOT hot, cute or sexy in anyway why don't you help her find a new look, emo would be an improvement. Besides if she really is Gothic she will not appreciate it.
