Insulin is a hormone secreted by the pancreas that allows extra glucose to be moved from the blood back into cells for storage.

Diabetes occurs when the body either does not produce enough insulin, the cells have become resistant to insulin, or both.

Usually, the effect is that blood glucose will be too high and the patient will need insulin injections or medicine to help the body use the insulin it has.

There are two types of diabetes (most people only know of type2)

Type One is also known as "insulin dependent" or "Juvenile Diabetes" (because it is normally diagnosed in early years. This type is life long because the body does not produce insulin. The insulin is what takes the sugar out of the blood stream to the body muscles using it for energy. Without insulin, the blood sugar will rise and body cannot get the sugars as needed. But with too much insulin, the level will drop and the body has no source of energy left.

Type Two Diabetes (adult onset, but is now seen with young children as well) tends to be from the body not being able to use the insulin present as well as before. This can be from a number of things, mainly weight and diet, but other things are possible as well. With this, exercise and diet are the best ways of controlling blood sugars, but insulin or medications may be needed. With this, once again, insulin would be used to keep the blood sugar at a normal level and sugars to bring it up.

With both of these types, the doctors recommend a blood sugar between 70 and 100 for a good range (as stated by my doctors at Joslin Clinic in Boston). And exercise will help lower and stabilize the levels as well as diet.

Hope this is of some help.

I am writing to tell you what an incredible impact these methods had on my life! I have had type 2 diabetes for 27 years. For me, the worst part of this horrible disease is the severe pain I constantly get in my feet. The pain is so bad that I avoid standing and walking as much as possible. I've got to tell you that within the first month, my feet stopped hurting altogether and I can now walk totally pain free.

Believe it or not, I even danced at my niece's wedding last month, something I have not done in a many years. I've been following the book for six months now and my blood sugar is well within normal range. I feel great!

I recommend you use the Type 2 Diabetes Destroyer to naturally reverse your diabetes.

Diabetes is when the pancreas is not secreting enough insulin to metabolize the sugar you are taking in. Blood sugar goes up when we take on food (fuel) and down when we have used it up. If you take in sugar you cannot metabolize due to a lack of insulin, you are diabetic and require some way to do it. Sometimes just diet alone can control it and sometimes insulin is required. There is no oral insulin. There is oral medication to lower sugar in the blood , but it is not insulin..

Diabetes is when your body can no longer easily utilize the sugars from food, and it stays in your blood instead of being burned as energy.
Blood sugar is dependant on food---too many carbohydrates & the blood sugar is high---BUT, exercise burns it off.
Fiber slows the sugars entry into the blood...exercise burns it. Low calorie, low carbohydrate, high fiber diets are best for anyone with diabetes.

Diabetes is when the blood sugar is up because of lack of insulin and needs to be lowered by diet, medicine, and even insulin shots. When the blood sugar is low and needs to be raised it is called hypoglycemia.

Diabetes is when you have too much sugar in your blood. Type I the pancreas does not make any insulin so you have to take it to keep your sugar in control (lower). Type II typically is controlled by diet, pills, and exercise. Typically the Type II pancreas is making insulin, but it is not enough to compensate.

Good luck.

DIABETES--DEFINITION
Diabetes mellitus is impaired insulin secretion by the pancreas and variable degrees of peripheral insulin resistance leading to hyperglycemia (high blood sugar). Early symptoms are related to hyperglycemia and include polydipsia (excessive thirst), polyphagia (excessive hunger and abnormally large intake of solids by mouth), and polyuria (excessive urination). Later complications include vascular disease, peripheral neuropathy, and predisposition to infection. Diagnosis is by measuring plasma glucose (blood sugar). Treatment is diet, exercise, and drugs that reduce glucose levels, including insulin and oral antihyperglycemic drugs. Prognosis varies with degree of glucose control.

Hope that helps. Best of luck.
