I'm really scared about this one of my friend was on her period and was really tried so i try and help her out. When helping her i had to hold her and thing like that. I only touched her hand and it was kind of sweating but their were no blood on her hand not that i could see any. Are there any chance that i may get infected with HIV if she has HIV i don't know but i'm kind of worrying about this because i mistakenly put my hand in my mouth but i don't know if there are have any risk at that. Or can i get infected with HIV if the my friend have blood on her hand and i touch it and put it in my mouth.

any exposure to blood products or bodily fluids does put a person at risk of H.I.V. . The manner of transference you write about is not likely however it is wise to be cautious. this is a life ending illness . As long as the person did not have an open cut or sore on his hand and his hand was free of blood or body fluids you will all most certainly be fine. In the future just be aware that you must take precautions its sad but this is life and its your life your putting at risk also the other person with the H.I.V. does not want to spread it . just be careful be friends but a careful friend

Well, you don't know whether your friend has HIV, first of all, and HIV can't be transmitted through sweat. Plus, even if you did ingest some of her blood, you didn't see it, so it must have been so small that there is almost no chance that you caught HIV. And like the person above me said, HIV can't survive in the air from very long. I'm sure that you're fine. If your friend believes that she has HIV and yuo're that worried, then go get an HIV test. In order to know if you're truly infected, get one in 6 months, then you'll know for sure and can stop worrying. I hope this helps.

Calm down. HIV dies a few moments after being exposed to air. The most common ways of getting AIDS is sex and sharing drug needles. Even if she did have blood on her hands, you most likely would not have gotten anything from her. Unless you do those things I mentioned above, don't worry about getting HIV. Stupidity and ignorance is what spreads HIV, not holding some body's hand or being around somebody with the disease.

The chances you got HIV from just holding her hand is impossible. You would have to have had sexually relations with her or shared needle, or something like that. Also did you know that you would have to drink gallons of saliva or sweat to even make just a small risk, if any at all.
Now if you have drank her blood the risk may be a little higher. I don't belive that you contracted anything from her but if you have been in direct contact with her blood than I would talk to your doctor

First of all before you get even more paranoid, confirm whether your friend is infected with the HIV virus or not. If there is no way to do that, of course you could just go for a blood test.

There is zero possibility that you got HIV under the conditions you describe. If that were the case, HIV would have spread to 99% of the population within a couple of years.

Only blood to blood contact, like if you have an open sore, and you her blood in you. You should be fine. And the sypmtoms of HIV don't show up till months later. So, talk to your doctor,

Best of Luck
