Ya, a bit of a dilemma!!! U have a few choices. Since it's for a 14 yr. old, u can allow them to do as they wish (music, video games, age approprioate of course, etc.) in a separate room, while u peek ur head in often to check to c if things r ok. This will be a positive move for u to make for ur son/daughter------especially daughter!!!! His/her guests can bring over music of their choice. Or, perhaps, depending on finances.....laser tag, roller-skating, bowling. U can also alow them to prep or create their own food...........small pizza's on pita bread, taco's, etc. & sundae's with a chunk of cake in them! I had the same dilemma with twin boy's but eventually gave up on the party idea & just bought them a bigger gift, in leu of not having a party!
Good Luck, ZETA!!!

My son is 14, and for his next birthday, he purely needs to atke some acquaintances to a huge city a pair of hours away. we will spend the day observing guitars, circulate to the mall, carry out, perhaps hit the zoo in the event that they're feeling loopy, and eat a stable meal out. The holiday and the adventure are extra exciting for him than having a extensive team over. We did a 30-guy or woman twelfth social gathering for him and it became a nightmare. impossible to shape, we tried to do some video games yet there have been purely too a lot of people. in case you prefer THAT a lot of people, you may desire to take the social gathering someplace else, besides your place, including a golfing path or dinner social gathering corridor with a dancefloor. in any different case, invite some acquaintances, convince your mom that is much less annoying this manner, and take a time out someplace.

well you might want to try like different stations of games... like in one you can have all the kids play with twister and at another musical chairs or bingo those are always fun and they seem to do the trick!!! These are games that both boys and girls can play

Eh, I really don't think games are quite right for this age group. If you can rent or borrow a fooseball table or ping pong table for the day, you might want to do that. Usually, the pool is enough to keep them occupied, anyway.
