Oh, a friend of the family cannot cook at all but often invites us for dinner. Last time it was noodles, and I went digging in their fridge for some kind of sauce or something I could put on it. Yup. Mostly though, I have no problems saying, "Yo, this sucks, sorry, I'm not eating it." Usually I don't eat certain things not because it was made badly, but because it's not vegan.

My boyfriend made me dinner on our anniversary in November. I thought he was a really amazing cook, but i didnt realise that in the past when her has cooked for me, it was when he had spent all day preparing, so he didnt get all flustered.
He made some chicken started with lemon and creme fraiche, which was actually quite nice, then a chicken and lemon main course, and instead of zesting the lemon, he used the white pith! And put some beans in it (i hate beans) and i cant remember what dessert was.
This Valentines day, I am cooking, and I am pretty good. (I have been cooking for many years.) And I will be cooking thai fish cakes, thai green curry and lime and ginger ice cream.
So after I have just slated him, I am praying it all goes right.

Probably about three weeks ago. It was truly forgettable, I'm certainly not going to tell you who cooked it and I was brought up to eat at least a little of anything which was put in front of me.
My daughter (34) was brought up the same way and a few months ago, now that she is travelling the world on her own, she told me she was really grateful that I had brought her up that way.
Personally I prefer meals which are presented in dishes in the middle of the table so you can pick and choose.
Absolute horror - even if I like the food, is a plate plopped in front of me which is overflowing with food. My appetite disappears immediately.

My dad would cook something awful like:
Fish
Meat
ham
cheese
Sea Food
French Fries
Wheat
There's any type of food that people don't like at all but I know that I have more but I don't remember.

Last year at the restaurant I was working at the cook was always trying to make these wonderful vegetarian dishes for me. And they may have been great, but I hate mushrooms and olives and they all contained mushrooms and olives. I didn't want to hurt his feelings, so I would try to eat them anyways but there was this one pasta dish that was just all mushrooms and olives in mushroom sauce. Very Bad

We were round my friends house I thought we were just going for drinks not dinner. We had already eaten and she had made chilli. It was far too strong and the meat was chewy and the rice was all stuck together. We had to be polite and eat it though because she was so proud of herself for cooking.

Yesterday, I ate a disgusting pie and it was filled with a mix of sugar and salsa. I thought I would die. I am no longer friends with the guy who perpared the pie. He was a bizarre person.

Menudo made by a friend. It's like cow stomach and hominy soup. It was the most disgusting thing I ever put in my mouth but it was a wedding tradition thing and I suffered through it for a pretty young bride. Then I got drunk enough to forget. Thanks for the reminder ;-)
