You should come to work with me (psych hospital)! We get people in everyday who smoke weed and freak out . It starts out mild and gradually gets worse until they have a full blown psychotic episode, my advice, STOP NOW or else you run the risk of " visiting" a place i assure you, you DON'T want to be in!

My friend just had a paranoia attact last night at the club. After smoking some sticky bud. She was tripping for real. I was real concerned she thought people were pointing at her, she thought someone escorted her out of the club, omg. And I did not observe these things and we smoked the same bud. I think it happens to us (smokers) once in a while.

And to the haters telling ppl weed isnt good...Its illegal for political purposes. Smoking a cigarette is highly more unhealthy, drinking alcohol is also more unhealthy. Yet those two are still legal. Some pharmacuticals out there are 10x worse than weed. And weed is used for medical purposes. Why hate? Appreciate!!!

You're probably just psyching yourself out because you heard about your friends. But the real truth is that you really should stop. People say that smoking weed is safe, but in comparison to what? Smoking crack? It's not completely safe, and there are definite health risks outside of the obvious waste of your life and money. Even if you aren't experiencing any real health problems now, you probably will eventually if you keep on. And, I could be wrong, you could be having heart problems already. The only safe option is to stop. Also, someone mentioned pot being a downer, so it might not be the cause, but smoking anything can affect your lung and heart health.

First off not to sound like everyone else, but perhaps you should consider it a chance to quick. I am pretty sure that it is not weed that increasing your heart rate as it is a natural downer. However, from hearing your friends talk about it and basically it has iniated some harbored anxiety. Just take deep breaths (of air only) and you soon get through it....take up other hobbies, like knitting.

The weed is getting stronger and stronger and more chemically enhanced. And when a teenager, the body is super resilient and can process just about anything w/o major side effects. Now, you're getting older and out of shape, thus the burning feeling in your chest/heart.

It may just be the kind/strain of weed, perhaps the supply in your area is tainted.

Weed does lend its self to paranoia . I thought my family was out to poison me and that my neighbor was going to attack me. None of which has happened. I used to smoke a lot and often like everyday for two years. Then I cleaned up and I see things more realistically now. It does make you think some crazy ****.:)been there. and by the way you DON'T get addicted to pot.

Of course the obvious answer here is to stop smoking pot. It does do some strange things to your body and it is illegal for a reason. I would follow your friends footsteps and stop. Find something else in life to make you happy other than drugs or alcohol.

I'd really considering quitting.
There comes a point where it's no fun anymore. Also, have you considered the source of your weed? Maybe there IS something wrong with it that causes cardiac effects and your friends simply felt the effects first.
Take care of yourself!

If you use drugs long term they will eventually have an effect on your body, whether they're prescription, illegal or whatever.....drugs can't think and do not know the difference. However, there are good reasons some are illegal so stop doing this foolishness ok?

You're not crazy or paranoid. You just need to get off of it. The high isn't worth it. Give it up, man. There are better things to life than addiction.
I hope I don't offend you. =)
