You need to get your blood sugars down IMMEDIATELY. did your doctor give you oral meds or insulin? If you do not get your blood sugars under control you will continue to suffer from a lot of ailments. I am also a diabetic but my A1C levels are almost normal because I keep an eye on my food intake. Start walking after dinner every night...even when it rains. Walking is the best way for people that are overweight to start on the right path to getting healthy.

There are several explanations for this sort of "bulge." The first and most obvious is that you're fourteen years old. You're still growing and your body is still figuring out what goes where. Another explanation is an unhealthy diet. If you're eating unhealthy foods high in saturated fat or lots of processed and pre-packaged foods, your "bulge" may be caused by fat on top of the muscle you're building with exercise. Try to stick to whole grains, lots of fruit and veggies, lean protein and low fat dairy. Also, it could just be caused by bloating. If you've started getting your period, you can have monthly changes in body shape due to water retention. Lots of soda and salty foods can do the same thing. Some people even bloat up as a reaction to artificial sweeteners in gum and other sugar-free foods. Look out for sweeteners like sorbitol and xylitol.
