I dont know where u live but im in Australia. I finished my Advanced Diploma in Event Management last year at TAFE. You have to do atleast 100 hours work experience, from that you have great opportunities to network with event companies. I recommend looking on the TAFE website and finding out where they provide the course near you. Good Luck!

I'd recommend choosing several good friends and asking them if you can plan a party for them, for free. In return, they have to give you LOTS of feedback on how it went, what they'd do better, and of course a great recommendation some day once you've perfected your skills.
