Health:
Hummus is made mostly from chick peas (i.e. garbanzo beans). Chick peas have saponins (a type of antioxidant), and have also been found to lower cholesterol. They also have B6, C, Zinc, protein, fiber, and folate. Hummus also has no cholesterol and no sugar.
Taste & What it Goes Well With:
Try different brands and different flavors, as it can taste quite different depending on these factors. My favorite is red bell pepper, fresh from the farmers market.
It is great with warmed pita bread, on a begal, with chips or crackers, to replace a sandwhich or veggie wrap spread (i.e., instead of mayo or mustard), as a dip/dressing for fried eggplant or felafels or roasted peppers, or as a spread on a good hard bread. Chick peas can also be used in soups, or on top of salads.

Hummus is very good for you...you could probably live off it if you needed to. It's made with chick peas (garbonzo beans), tahini (sesame seed paste) and garlic and lemon juice. See? Everything in it is great for you. If you want lots of protien, beans are the way to go. You'll get more protien from a serving of hummus than you would a hamburger (with less fat)
You can put hummus on a sandwich with veggies. You can eat it like a dip with anything that is dippable. You can flavour your hummus with different things like chili peppers or spices or lemon - whatever. It's very versatile. You can also make it with different kinds of beans (not just chick peas).
Enjoy it!

Yes, very healthy, good source of protein, and generally not too expensive. All of your suggestions were good: crackers, pita chips, pita bread, great with raw vegetables!!! I also like it on flavored rice cakes. If you toast a piece of pita bread it tastes really good to spread some hummus on there. You can also use it on sandwiches and wraps. Try bread or pita bread with hummus, plus vegetables (such as lettuce, sprouts, tomatoes, onions, olives).

Hummus is not only good for you but very easy to make. I love hummus. I put it in everything. Garlic/sundried tomato hummus goes good on top of a tofu scramble with spinach. Chipolte hummus goes good in burritos.

I eat hummus on top of bagels. But my fave way is to add diced tomato, onion, jalapeno, cilantro, cucumber (pico de gallo, basically) and then scoop it ip with a hot flour tortilla. It's the $hit!!

Healthy: Yes, its made from ground up 'garbonzo beans' high in protein
Good: Depends on your taste, i like the one with garlic.
What to eat it with: Chips, cucumber slices, crackers....also, can mix with a little salsa (w/chips)
Also, if you like that, have you tried the 'fake' chicken stir fry stuff..? Pretty good.
